Chogan Ichthyol Ointment is used to facilitate the healing of small skin blemishes such as pimples, abscesses, superficial ulcers, and inflammation of the sweat glands, and to promote the elimination of toxins and impurities. It has a high sulfur content, which is considered the "mineral of beauty," with peeling, astringent, and healing properties.
Apply a small amount of ointment directly to the area to be treated two to three times a day, ensuring to cover the area with sterile gauze.
Avoid sun exposure after application. Prolonged use may lead to irritation or sensitization. The product has a characteristic, pungent odor and may stain clothing. Do not apply to nasal mucosa, lips, and eyes, and do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The use of Ichthyol has been shown to be incompatible with acids, alkalis, iron salts, and alkaloids. For this reason, it is advisable to discontinue the use of Ichthyol ointment when taking medications that contain these elements. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice if necessary. Avoid release into the environment. Avoid falls, impacts, and improper handling that may cause spillage of the product. Store in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
INCI: Petrolatum, ichthammol.
